Pest Control FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners, landlords and businesses.
General
What areas do you serve?
Toronto and the GTA, including Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket and Aurora, plus Barrie, Innisfil, Bradford, Orillia and the rest of Simcoe County. If you are nearby, ask us.
How much does pest control cost?
It depends on the pest, the property size and how established the problem is. We give a clear written quote before any work starts.
How quickly can you come?
We book quickly and prioritize urgent problems such as active wasp nests, rodents in kitchens and bed bugs.
Do you work with businesses?
Yes. We run scheduled programs for restaurants, food businesses, offices, retail, warehouses and multi-unit buildings, with service logs for inspections.
Do I need to be home during the visit?
For the first visit we usually ask that someone is there so we can inspect and explain the plan. For some follow-ups and exterior services, you do not need to be home.
Bed bugs & heat treatment
What is bed bug heat treatment?
We raise the temperature of the affected rooms above the level bed bugs and their eggs can survive, and hold it with fans and sensors so heat reaches every hiding place. No pesticides are needed for a heat-only treatment.
How long does a heat treatment take?
Most homes and apartments take one day, usually six to eight hours.
Do I need to throw out my furniture?
Usually not. Heat treats mattresses and furniture in place.
How do I prepare?
We send a checklist. The main items to remove are aerosols, candles, medications, plants, pets and heat-sensitive items.
Safety
Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?
We choose methods based on your household and always explain what we use. Heat, trapping and exclusion use no pesticides. When products are needed we use Health Canada registered products according to the label, and tell you when it is safe to return to treated areas.
Do you use chemical-free options?
Yes. Heat treatment for bed bugs, trapping and exclusion for rodents, and sealing and monitoring are all non-chemical options we use regularly.
Rodents & wildlife
Why do mice keep coming back?
Because entry points were never sealed. We remove the mice and close the gaps so the cycle stops.
Do you trap and relocate raccoons?
We use humane one-way exclusion so animals leave on their own, then seal the entry, in line with Ontario wildlife rules.
